Teaser Tuesdays (June 8)

"Right now the bare branches of the trees look like drowning arms reaching for help.  I stare and stare at the bark and see shapes of spirits there.  The dark knots where limbs used to be remind me of screaming mouths."
pg. 16

"Pixie kings leave gold glitter in their wake.  Regular pixies?  Not so much."
p.g 17, Captivate (Need, book 2) by Carrie Jones

My review of Need (Need, book 1) is here.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  1. Wonderful teasers, especially the first one, reminds me of my childhood when I'd lay under trees or in fields and just let my imagination go wild.
