Teaser Tuesdays: An Artificial Night

"She's Firstborn and incredibly powerful, but she can hide so well I'd never see her coming.  There are a lot of things I'd rather face than the Luidaeg on a bad day.  Like Godzilla."

p.g 85, An Artificial Night by Seanan McGuire.

An Artificial Night is the third book in the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire.  This is an action-packed urban fantasy series with a fun, wisecracking changeling heroine.

Look for my review of An Artificial Night later this week.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  14. I like the teaser - I just bought this book, but I should read the second book first (of course, lol). Since I've decided that I failed the 2010 countdown challenge, I'm free to read more current releases, so I'll be reading it soon.

I'm currently reading Rhapsody by Elizabeth Haydon

"Once more the air was filled with the acrid smell of burning flesh, but no blood fell to the floor. The wounds were instantly cauterized even before the woman's life had fled her body."

  23. great teaser. I really like the cover of this book, too. I'm really intrigued, but sadly a series commitment kind of scares me right now. My TBR pile is already ginormous!
