Rain: When I was about nine. I started with short stories, then moved on to journals, poems, lyrics, and eventually found my way to writing full-length novels. I wrote my first full-length novel at the age of twenty-four. It will probably never be published.
EJ: What brought you to the paranormal genre?
Rain: I've always loved the supernatural, and I've seen my fair share of ghosts. I've been known to have a few weird psychic moments, too, so the whole paranormal genre has always been attractive to me. The first paranormal romance I read was Maggie Shayne's Twilight Hunger. It sucked me in, pun intended, and I had to try my hand at writing paranormal romance, creating my own rules for vampires. I was surprised by how easy it came.
EJ: If you could be any paranormal or have any one supernatural talent, what would it be? Why?
Rain: I already have some psychic ability. I'd like to be able to turn it off and on when I like rather than just having random stuff happen.
EJ: Tell us why readers will enjoy your new release.
Rain: The Blood Revelation series is a lot of fun. Yes, it's dark and there's the whole good vs. evil thing going on, but there are some laughs in there too, especially in the second book, Slayer's Prey. It also features a variety of supernatural beasties, not limited to vampires, shifters, witches, and demons.
EJ: If your book(s) were being made into a movie, who would you cast for the leading roles? Why?
Rain: Ironically, I wrote Blood Curse and Slayer's Prey before the show, Supernatural, aired, and I based the character of Jacob Porter on Jensen Ackles. I loved him in Dark Angel and thought he "looked just like Jake Porter." I made him act a certain way, talk a certain way, and I'll be damned if the character he plays on Supernatural isn't just like Jake Porter! It's uncanny. I'd definitely cast Jensen Ackles to play Jake Porter, and Antonio Sabato Jr to play Rialto. Jonah Porter was "based" on Randall Batinkoff when he was a bit younger, and for the heroine of book #3 (Witch's Net) , Malaika, I used Syesha Mercado as inspiration. As for the rest of the characters, I can't think of anyone to play them so I'd have to go with unknowns.

Finally, Rialto agrees to help Aria, but the pair soon learns that fate brought them together for a much larger purpose, and fate has every intention of destroying them if they don't fulfill their roles in the Blood Revelation Prophecy.
